If you want to hear your work realised by real actors, you can submit a script for consideration. Before you do submit the script, we ask you to submit a proposal.
Please include a) your email address, b) a synopsis and c) cast list with a basic description for the voices required.
Please do not submit your script until we have opted to accept the script. Your script will be published under name and you retain the full copyright for it. You license the script to the website to create a production of it, which will exist under our copyright.
The license agreement grants Dark Comedy rights to the recording of your work, but not to publish your text which you retain (with the exception of ‘fair use’, i.e. to make reading scripts available for actors).
Dark Comedy will probably feature your Radioplay, Dialog or Monolog on the site for free for a time. At some stage a paywall will be subject to subscription and our licence will pay authors royalties based on page views.
Actors will always get a credit and may supply a link to their linked-in profile, website or facebook page. When we raise a production fund, some actors will be offered fees for selected scripts, but in the meantime this is intended to be a free site with content you can use for your profile building and actors CVs. We also offer to host your headshot and a profile page if you work with us. Just get in touch, info@darkcomedy.co.uk.
