You have been cast in a Radioplay for Dark Comedy. You have your microphone and recording software (we recommend Garageband on a Mac or any WAV file recording method in Windows that can produce a long single file). You can upload your file on this site (up to 512Mb).
Title
Name your file in this format: Project_Part_actor.wav, e.g. Vengeance2_Horace_jonathan-e.wav (first names are usually fine, we know who you are!)
Method
Get yourself into character, do your normal voice warmups and do not rehearse your actual lines. If a set of phrases is provided by the script writer, you can use these to get into character. We want a single read with 2 second gaps for cutting.
Breathing
Remember to breathe! After a line, give us a bit of a pause before you inhale so we can successfully cut without chopping your actual voice. If you need more than 2 seconds between your lines, that is fine, but it is better to not rush it. Most importantly the first fresh take is going to be better than expected so trust the process.
Takes
If you really must do multiple takes, maintain a two second gap between each take of a line, and then wait for four seconds before the next line. That way the editor can see what you are doing and avoid mistakes or rework.
